Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This policy explains what information the Win the Day app and website (“Win the Day”) store, how it is used, and the choices you have. Win the Day is made by Bright Wins Lab (“we”, “us”).
1. Who uses Win the Day
Accounts are created by adults — parents, and the co-parents or caregivers they invite. Children do not create accounts or sign in. A parent decides what information about a child is entered and who can see it.
2. Information we store
- Account: your email address and password. Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form by our sign-in provider.
- Family chart: the family name, the names or nicknames of people on the chart, an optional birthday (month and day only, no year), tasks, check-offs and when they were made, goals, rewards, themes and colors, rest days and holidays, and reminder settings.
- Sharing: family and caregiver codes, which accounts belong to the family, and which charts a caregiver may see. Parents can see the email addresses of the family’s members.
- Parent PIN: if you set one, only an encrypted (hashed) version is stored.
- Problem reports: if you use “Report a Problem”, we receive your message, any screenshots you attach, the app version, and basic device information (device and browser type).
Some preferences — such as sounds, read-aloud voice, and text size — are saved only on your device. The app also keeps a copy of your chart on your device so it works offline.
3. How we use it
Only to run Win the Day: to sign you in, show and sync your family’s chart across your devices, share it with the people you invite, schedule the reminders you turn on, and fix problems you report. Reminders are scheduled on your own device.
4. Who can see it
- Your family: parents and co-parents in your family can see the whole family chart. Caregivers can see only the charts a parent chooses for them. Share codes only with people you trust.
- Service provider: information is stored with Supabase (database, sign-in, and file storage) on servers in the United States. Supabase processes it only to provide its service to us.
- Legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
5. Children
Win the Day is used by parents to run a chart for their family, which may include a child’s name or nickname, optional birthday, tasks, and progress. This information is entered and controlled by the parent. Children do not provide information to us directly. A parent can change or delete a child’s information at any time in the app (Settings), or ask us to delete it.
6. Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access rules in our database limit each family’s data to that family’s members. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed as described on the account deletion page. Problem reports may be kept until the problem is resolved; you can ask us to delete them.
8. Your choices
- View, change, or delete people, tasks, and settings in the app at any time.
- Turn reminders on or off in Settings, or block notifications in your phone’s settings.
- Delete your account in the app, or by email — see Delete your account & data.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing us.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date above.
